  • The Vasquez Rocks Nature and Interpretive Center is located in the high-desert along the Pacific Crest trail, a 2,650-mile walk from Mexico to Canada. The site is one of the most significant natural areas in the region, at over 932 acres, it is a regional destination for a variety of outdoor activities. However, the park is most known for  its geological sculptural rock formations which have inspired generations of visitors and provided the backdrop to dozens of Hollywood movies and television shows. The park is also the location of geologic and prehistoric artifacts as well as several sensitive Native American sites.

    The narrative of the Vasquez Rock Park unfolds through an exhibit consisting of informative panels, mechanical interactive exhibits, and audiovisual programming. The visitor comes away from the experience with a better appreciation and understanding of the surrounding landscape.
