Elyse Marks Design - Booth Design
- Elyse Marks Design - Booth Design
Los Angeles, CA - Elyse Marks Design is dedicated to providing fine handmade products to consumers. Utilizing a small space and budget, table scapes were created to display products for sale. A table-top booth was created for a gift show to display my necklaces and scarves. I researched and studied different methods of display, and the most visually pleasing way to display my necklaces. A system of stacked ramps was developed with a simple button to hold jewelry in place. A small shelf allows scarves to be folded and displayed.

The Vasquez Rocks Nature and Interpretive Center is located in the high-desert along the Pacific Crest trail, a 2,650-mile walk from Mexico to Canada. The site is one of the most significant natural areas in the region, at over 932 acres, it is a regional destination for a variety of outdoor activities. However, the park is most known for its geological sculptural rock formations which have inspired generations of visitors and provided the backdrop to dozens of Hollywood movies and television shows. The park is also the location of geologic and prehistoric artifacts as well as several sensitive Native American sites.

Identity of the South Wing: Ecologica
Location:
Stroom Gallery: The Hague, Netherlands
Ecologica is a group project developed for the Atelier Zuidvleugel, division of the government of South Holland, in the Netherlands. Stroom Gallery exhibited the project results which were two aspects of the Zuidvleugel's (South Wing) "identity": the Zuidvleugel as image and as product. The project envisioned the future of the Zuidvleugel while keeping in mind that the Zuidvleugel can and must distinguish itself from other areas. Products were developed which generated, supported and distributed these identities. Philippe Terrier-Hermann's work was shown in conjunction with the findings and presented the image aspect of the Zuidvleugel in conjunction with the findings. 2011 Exhibition Design, Urbanism, Graphic Design -

Fresh Eyes Berlin
Location:
Redesigndeutschland Gallery: Berlin, Germany
Goethe Institute: Los Angeles, California
Fresh Eyes Berlin was a 14-week design project, in which Berlin is examined as a creative location and translated into a marketable identity, particularly aimed at an international audience. Fresh Eyes Berlin was co-sponsored by the Environmental Design and Graphic Design departments of the Art Center College of Design. Re-defining the designer's role from a mere problem solver into an proactive opportunity seeker, the team investigated the metropolis in a true 720 degrees approach: inspired and coached by a group of Berlin's leading figures and experts in design and media, science, business and politics, the metropolis was viewed simultaneously from six directions: from above and below and from all four geographic directions and their unique influences.
Several different forms of displaying the findings from the research were developed. These included a Berlin font, two motion pieces, street guide lightboxes, mapping systems, and a table of economics. 2011 Exhibition Design, Graphic Design -
